Position Summary


The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, including cash management, account reconciliations, commissions, collections, customer credit administration, year-end reporting, and audit support. This role also serves as a backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Process cash receipts, deposits, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.
  • Record and reconcile cash disbursements, payroll activity, transfers, and bank accounts.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Calculate and process sales representative and buying group commissions.
  • Prepare annual 1099 reporting and related tax documentation.
  • Manage collections, customer account inquiries, and payment issue resolution.
  • Coordinate new customer setup, including credit reviews and tax documentation.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and financial reporting requirements.
  • Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Monitor and respond to accounting department email inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on reporting, problem-solving, and special projects.


Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.
  • 3-5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with account reconciliations, cash management, AP/AR, collections, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems required; Infor VISUAL Manufacturing ERP preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
