Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain and improve internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and support treasury management activities.
  • Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements and financial reporting regulations.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Support leadership with financial reporting, special projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff as assigned.
  • Stay current on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA preferred, not required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience preparing financial statements and managing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
