Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain and improve internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury management activities.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements and financial reporting regulations.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Support leadership with financial reporting, special projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff as assigned.
- Stay current on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA preferred, not required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience

3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience preparing financial statements and managing month-end and year-end close processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
