Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies or unusual variances.
- Prepare financial statements and internal management reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
- Support annual financial audits and assist with requests from external auditors.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems).
